BANGLADESH
I got an opportunity to visit Dhaka, Bangladesh in January 2009 while I was voluntarily working with an INGO Dhaka Ahsania Mission Pakistan. I traveled with the then country manager of DAMP Ms. Mehnaz Ansar Khan to witness the working and techniques of the DAMP’s head center in Dhaka. We visited numerous project areas of Dhaka Ahsania Mission such as Skill Development Centers, Vocational Centers, Educational Centers, Health Care Centers and Workshops. Our purpose was to analyze and implement their way of working here in Pakistan. Working with one of their Fashion Design units, I designed a panel of women blouses which later on went into production to be sold in their retail outlet ‘Nogordola’.
