Education at Finger Tips
Development and prosperity of a country depends heavily on mass education. In recent years, the main priority of developing countries has been to foster the development and renewal of primary education and to eliminate illiteracy. Pakistan, unfortunately has made little progress in this respect. In the 66 years of her existence, she continues to remain in the group of countries with the lowest literacy rate.
The main causes of illiteracy in Pakistan are limited budget, lack of interest of in-service teachers, corruption, weak community participation, lack of adequate facilities such as class room space, clean water and electricity etc. These seemingly small problems are heavily affecting our country and creating larger problems of over-population, Low-GDP and per capita income, increase in unskilled labor, infant mortality and maternal mortality, political instability, heavy international debts, child labor, halting industrial growth and the list continues.
We, as responsible citizens of Pakistan feel the need to contribute to the development of our country. Focusing on educational development, especially primary and secondary schooling, we propose the establishment of an online learning portal for school children, which in time can grow to accommodate higher education also. Making use of technology, our strongest tool, we can make course content available for every one for easy, self-paced learning.
We plan to carry out the project through experienced personnel in education and technology. Our way forward will be through:

- Topic wise explanatory videos
- Problem solutions/keys
- Essays/reports
- Model tests
- Activities
- Assessments
All of the above material will be available through a single click to hundreds of thousands of school children all over the country. We can also make the contents of our website available through mobile apps and promote healthy discussion through our blog site.
Our future plans include partnering with other not for profit organizations and setting up internet labs in different rural areas of Pakistan to provide the internet facility to children who want education. We believe our project will bring an immense change in the literacy situation of Pakistan because every little step taken towards progress, counts.
