Sundas is truly an amazing person and possess extraordinary qualities and writing a letter of reference is an absolute pleasure in this case. I have known her now for almost 5 years and she has been associated with me as a student, colleague and a team partner. As a student I have found her to be very focused, keen to learn and question and result oriented. She is always the first one to raise her hand in the class and loves to take up new challenges. Her clarity of mind is her strongest attribute which always keeps her aligned to her goals.
After completion of her undergraduate program she taught at the University and later joined the Placement Department. She was among the founding team and this is where we worked together and I was able to witness her extraordinary qualities both as a person and as a worker. Sundas has strong communication skills and can draft complicated proposals in a short time. Her lead role and initiative to take up new challenges helped Placement Department to grow substantially and we were able to conduct one of the most successful Open House in the history of Iqra University Islamabad. She has the natural tendency to help and support people and therefore is a great team player and mentor for young people. She was able to develop strong links with the industry within no time based on her consistency and professionalism. One of her key strengths is deliverables and this is where she has been able to develop her credibility both in-house and externally. Despite coming from a conservative family, she is a very confident young woman who has big aims and strength to challenge gender based inequalities. She practices excellent work ethics inculcated through strong family values. Sundas has matured beyond her age and displays a very fine balance between work & personal life.
Lately she has been working with me on Entrepreneurship related project. My company Alternate Solutions represents Global Entrepreneurship Week an initiative of Kauffman Foundation USA. This is an Entrepreneurship promotional organization which focuses on encouraging youth towards entrepreneurship. Sundas’s role in this initiative has been exemplary. She acted as the main beacon putting together a team of youngsters and leading them towards the achievement of goals. It will only be fair to say that without her inexorable effort GEW-Pakistan would not have been able to achieve the success that it did. Her personal interest in the area of social entrepreneurship and herself being an entrepreneur provided her a great platform to interact and network with practitioners. She was the focal point that worked with the staff of US Embassy (donor) to successfully conduct a seven day series of events which was extremely challenging and exhaustive. Based on her output I can very confidently proclaim that she is an ideal candidate for this program and this exposure can open all of her latent skills which are yet unexplored. She is the kind of young person that we need to lead Pakistan towards economic empowerment and can be an excellent Role Model for Pakistani girls.
